Report from the Press Balcony
First Competition -Jumping Ind. Large - half way through
Accompanied with loud shouting the first contestant started - Sandra Ulmer with Seven from Switzerland, one of several Border Collies. From the roof the media-cube is shining - showing names and pictures of the contestants. Great in our opinion, even though we are sitting on the press balcony with the best wiev ever.
The show goes on - and the speed is high. But then we notice an equipage - the Lithuanian Dallus with Golden retriever Mistika. Actually they are a bit slower than the rest of the Border Collies. Maybe not a big surprise?
They finish in 42 sec and at this moment they are on the 23th place.
Another one that captures our attention is the American Carrie with her blue Border Collie Jive. What a beautiful dog! Everyone is admireing this beauty. And what a speed! The dog is more or less flying over the opsticles finishing at a third place so far. Not bad at all!
Then we can sence the anxiety on the track as more and more disqualifications are seen.
But of course - many succeeds as well - with loud shouting from the spectators.
The Norwegian flags are starting to wave - and the atmosphere is almost hysterical when the Norwegian Eddie Trøber with Frøkna is running. What a race! Can`t claim objectivity, but who cares
