Travelling to the arena
Hamar OL-amfi is situated at the north of Hamar. Hamar is easy accessed, both by train and by car. From Oslo Airport Gardermoen the train takes just about an hour.
Hamar is the regional centre of Hedemarken and the capital of Hedmark county. The region consist of the four municipalities Hamar, Stange, Løten and Ringsaker. Lake Mjøsa forms the western border of the region. To the north it borders Oppland, with Lillehammer as the closest town. From Løten in the east the great woods stretches forth through Østerfalen.
Transportation: Hamar and the Hamar-region is a junction for roads and railroads. The northbound Dovrebanen is crossed by Rørøsbanen and the E6 from Oslo continues through Lillehammer heading for Trondheim and is intersected by Rv. 25 heading east for Elverum has contributed to make Hamar and the region even more accessible.
